VideoGuard launches partnership with AI specialist VAIBS

With the Vaidio platform, marketed in the Benelux by VAIBS, the functionality of the Genetec platform can be expanded to include more than 30 advanced forms of artificial intelligence (AI). Reason for VideoGuard to launch a partnership with VAIBS.

It is convenient for end users that the Vaidio platform is fully (level 3) integrated within Genetec’s Security Center. Those who can already get along with Genetec’s user interface therefore do not need to know anything about the Vaidio platform. “”The only thing you notice as a dispatcher is that the Genetec software suddenly offers many more functions,”” explains Kasper van Kekem of VAIBS. “”These include familiar functions such as license plate recognition, facial recognition and human and vehicle counting, as well as lesser-known capabilities such as advanced monitoring of industrial processes and security procedures, behavioral monitoring in compliance with privacy laws and recognition of a vehicle’s make and model.””

Self-sufficient

VAIBS is very pleased with its cooperation with VideoGuard. “”This distributor has a specific number of products and is therefore able to provide all the necessary knowledge about them. This is how we like to work. Initially, of course, we will provide plenty of support in terms of both sales and technology, but in the short term VideoGuard will be self-sufficient to help with sales and application of our platform,”” said Henk-Jan Hop of VAIBS. “”Because like Genetec’s, our platform is not something you can just pass on. Without the added value of the supplier, you can never get out of it what’s in it.””

Feedback

The fact that VideoGuard’s technicians now possess the necessary knowledge does not mean that the cooperation with VAIBS will now diminish. Van Kekem: “”We are constantly releasing updates and new functionalities, and even then we will again ensure proper training for VideoGuard’s technicians. Conversely, we also always welcome feedback from the distributor and customers of the distributor. Based on this we can further expand and improve our product.””

VideoGuard can offer the Vaidio platform as a local solution on a server, but also as a cloud solution. Van Kekem: “”The cooperation with VideoGuard enables us to jointly serve even the more complex projects. VideoGuard has beautiful but demanding customers and we learn the most from them. Of course VideoGuard has already put our platform through its paces, but the real proof of concept is always provided by the people who use the system in practice.””
