The 8.1 version of the Vaidio platform has recently become available to all users. This release also includes a number of new features that we are happy to share with you! In this article, a brief overview of all the innovations. Would you like to see these features in practice? Then register via this page for the 8.1 release webinar on Thursday 19 December at 10:00 am.
Container ID recognition had of course been available for a while, but in Vaidio 8.1, this module has been improved. Vaidio Container ID Recognition is now a completely proprietary module with rights structure. Furthermore, accuracy has been further increased. With this module, it is possible to automatically detect and recognise container IDs of shipping containers. Via the list function, it is possible to build a list of container IDs that the user wants to receive an alert from, when they appear in the image. It is also possible to search by container IDs, making it easy to find out the location or travelled routes of a particular container.
Spoofing is the phenomenon where someone pretends to be someone else. For example, by showing a photo or video of another person at a camera with facial recognition. In Vaidio 8.1 provides a solution for this challenge. The platform recognises within the Face Recognition-module whether there is a real person in front of the camera, or whether it is spoofing.
Within Vaidio 8.1, it is possible to remove non-relevant search results within Cross Camera Tracking. These will then not return within the search as it is further fine-tuned. There is also a standard dedupe function that shows similar results as one result. This makes search results more manageable for the end user.
Within Object Tracking end users in the 8.1 release can make use of new time intervals in the object history tab when it comes to object counts. The time intervals additionally available in Vaidio 8.1: 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes and 30 minutes.
Within Make and Model Recognition Vaidio 8.1 offers a minor update. This allows you to turn off the ‘model’ results within Video Search and the LPR tab if desired. This way, only the make of the car is displayed and no longer the type.
A small update on the alert handling front too. Vaidio 8.1 offers the ability to claim an alert. When a user claims an alert, it becomes visible. This functionality helps optimise the process to alert handling. When an alert is handled, it is also possible to give it a cleared status.
Within the Single Sign On functionality, we have also made an update. From Vaidio 8.1, admin rights can also be assigned to an SSO user, eliminating the need for a separate login for additional admin users.
Finally, the camera’s edit screen has been optimised. The main upgrade in this, relates to the window which is now full-screen and the preview area has been made many times larger. This makes accurately setting ROIs many times easier.
As becomes clear above, the 8.1 release offers some nice updates again. Want to experience these in practice? Then register for the webinar on Thursday 19 December via this link.
