SMC Alarm Centre will partner with VAIBS

Security Monitoring Centre and VAIBS will collaborate on video Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. VAIBS is supplier of the Video AI Analytics platform Vaidio. This platform enables SMC to analyse real-time and/or historical video feeds. The platform detects people, vehicles, objects and anomalies for several feeds simultaneously. In doing so, the platform automates security tasks and protects areas or buildings from intruders, unsafe situations or other unwanted events.

Making existing cameras smart

This collaboration makes it possible to make (existing) cameras smart by adding artificial intelligence to them. Using the software, it is possible to filter on specific characteristics of a searched object at lightning speed. For instance, it is possible to search for situations in which a certain number of people, vehicles, animals or objects are present. Furthermore, the Vaidio platform supports SMC dispatchers in live monitoring of camera images. Is something untoward happening? For example, a burglary, a suspicious vehicle passing by or a group forming in a place where it is not allowed? Then Vaidio automatically sends an alert to the dispatcher, allowing immediate monitoring.’

Depending on the sensitivity set, Vaidio automatically generates alerts of various types. These include e-mail, app notification, http(s) or via integrations with other software and hardware systems.
