Alphatronics is a Belgian family company, active in the design and manufacture of access technology. These include access control for vehicles or people, as well as control columns, bollards and components. It also offers various applications in the field of smart maintenance and parking management. From machining to joining, from surface treatment to assembly: Alphatronics has the entire production process in-house. The company has been doing this for customers around the world for more than 30 years.

Expansion on existing services

For Alphatronics, the addition of the Vaidio platform to the product portfolio means an expansion of the existing services. Jasmien Vanvooren (CEO at Alphatronics): ‘In addition to traditional, physical access technology such as barriers, log-in kiosks, fencing, etc., our customers want to expand the security of their sites with camera surveillance. The ability to link real-time alerts when unusual behavior is detected is a frequently requested application that we can now provide.

The Vaidio platform has a very extensive database of objects and behaviors that are recognized. In the process, we can make the system itself “”smarter”” by learning missing data.’

Before Alphatronics chose to include Vaidio in its portfolio, the company tested the platform extensively and had several strategic sessions with VAIBS. Vanvooren: ‘Our engineers have extensively tested and approved Vaidio. We only applaud VAIBS’ vision to continue to maintain and expand the platform. In addition to the technical capabilities and reliability, the quick support from the VAIBS team also played an important role in the choice of partnership.’

An established name in the market

For VAIBS, the new cooperation with Alphatronics thus means an expansion in the partner network in Belgium. Commercial Director Kasper van Kekem is very pleased with this: ‘Alphatronics is not only an established name within the Belgian market, but also internationally. In addition to intrusion functionality for proactively securing buildings or premises, the Vaidio platform has 30+ AI Analytics as standard that can be deployed in various ways. For example, Vaidio also offers functionality in the areas of license plate recognition, ID verification and facial recognition.
