If your CCTV system could think — what would you ask it?
We are proud to announce that we have found a new partner in Johnson Controls. Johnson Controls is a leader in smart, safe and sustainable buildings. From this partnership, the company is enriching its product portfolio with the Vaidio Video AI Analytics platform. Johnson Controls thus expands its offering in security systems for smart buildings in Benelux and Scandinavia.
Hugo van Vliet, Sales Manager Fire & Security Controls at Johnson Controls, says: “”As a leader in security systems, we continuously seek to advance technological innovation in the industry. AI is an essential part of this strategy. Having previously collaborated with VAIBS to develop AI algorithms at our OpenBlue Innovation Centre in Rotterdam, we are confident about this collaboration and the benefits it will bring to our customers.””
When it comes to analysis, alarms, surveillance and automation of buildings and organisations, traditional cameras are a commonly used method. Previously, when a situation occurred, camera images had to be manually looked back. A time-consuming and repetitive task. The integration of Vaidio’s AI functionalities allows customers to make existing camera systems intelligent and monitor and analyse footage – both in real-time and historically. This detects people, vehicles, objects, patterns and more, helping to respond to threats more proactively and efficiently. In addition, the platform supports the optimisation of security measures and other related procedures and can integrate with Johnson Controls’ Video Surveillance Systems, such as Illustra IQ Cameras, Exacq Vision Video Management Systems, and other third-party systems. Â
Kasper van Kekem, Commercial Director at VAIBS: “”Johnson Controls is an appealing name that we often come across in the Safety & Security industry, operating in various market segments such as commercial property, healthcare, pharma, transport, logistics, industry, retail and more. Its pragmatic approach suits our company very well. Together, we provide both existing, and new customers with unique added value by deploying the Vaidio platform in various ways. I therefore expect a successful collaboration. With this technology, we are leading the way together, towards the future!””Â
Van Vliet, Sales Manager Fire & Security at Johnson Controls continues: “”The Vaidio platform fits seamlessly into our extensive portfolio. And the fact that the system is agnostic means that no changes are required to the installation file, or the associated systems. This keeps us flexible in meeting our customers’ needs. We look forward to supporting our customers with this addition to our portfolio.”” Â
Johnson Controls’ Security systems are already working with VAIBS in other parts of Europe and the US. The company is now extending the Vaidio platform service to customers in the Benelux and Scandinavia.Â
