If your CCTV system could think — what would you ask it?
The new version of Vaidio, Vaidio 8.0, is available to all end-users from April. The 8.0 release again features a number of new functionalities. In addition, existing modules have been further developed. Would you like to see in practice what Vaidio 8.0 has to offer? Then register for the 8.0 release webinar on Tuesday March 26th.
First of all, we are pleased to announce that with Vaidio 8.0, we are taking the next step in the world of AI with the application of Generative AI. This technique makes the Vaidio platform even smarter, more accurate and user-friendly. Through Generative AI, Vaidio better understands complex behaviours of persons or objects, making the accuracy of detections even higher. In addition, the application of Generative AI also makes it possible to perform searches based on entered text. Furthermore, this technique will help train new AI engines faster for specific use cases.
As of Vaidio 8.0, our Vaidio Edge product line includes the following existing AI Analytics: Intrusion Detection, License Plate Recognition with Make & Model Recognition, Object Tracking and Face Recognition.
In addition, several AI models (LPR, Face Recognition, Intrusion, Face Search and more) have been built in Vaidio 8.0 based on micro service architecture. This allows these AI engines to run separately as services with the aim of being even more efficient with the available hardware or cloud resources. The benefits of this: higher scalability and lower hardware and/or cloud costs.
Vaidio 8.0 brings a new functionality to the Vaidio Object Tracking engine: Object Wrong Detection and Dwell Time Analytics. Object Wrong Detection detects when a specified object is not moving in the right direction. When this happens, the module triggers notification via the desired output. The same applies to Dwell Time Analytics. Within this functionality, Vaidio triggers notification when a person, vehicle or object stays in a specified detection frame for an extended period of time.
Within Vaidio 8.0, it is also possible to group cameras. This makes it easier to organise different cameras into different groups. This is also advantageous when performing searches, as the grouped cameras can be selected at once. Selecting each camera individually is thus a thing of the past. Â Â
Also within the Vaidio Command Centre, the 8.0 release brings updates. First, in the 8.0 version of Vaidio, it is possible to configure alert triggers locally in the Command Center. When an alert from any node matches the alertrule in the Command Center setup, an alert is triggered. In addition, end users can switch between alerts from the nodes and the locally configured alerts, when performing a search on alerts.
Furthermore, as of Vaidio 8.0, it is also possible to send Face Recognition and/or LPR lists to set-up nodes from the Command Centrer. Finally, updates have also been made to the UI of Vaidio Command Centre. This allows an end user to add the IP address of a node in the node information to access the UI display of that node. In addition, Vaidio 8.0 also supports phone display view, so it is also possible to access Vaidio Command Center from different devices.
