VAIBS Image Analytics: the smart filter for the control room
Even though it was summer, our development team has not been idle. The 7.1 version of our Vaidio platform is now officially available. This version contains some great new features. In addition, a number of existing modules have been further developed. Would you like to see in practice what Vaidio 7.1 has to offer? Register for the 7.1 release webinar on Thursday, Oct. 19.
The 7.1 release of Vaidio introduces a new module: Vaidio Specialized Object Detection. Among other things, this module is capable of detecting prohibited objects used by those in the camera’s field of view. Examples include weapons (guns, knives, etc.) or other prohibited objects such as telephones and earbuds/headphones. This detection model can also be applied to historical images. This makes searching back on certain events in hours of footage possible within seconds.
Furthermore, Specialized Object Detection is also useful for detection and monitoring of smaller objects attached to a larger object. Think of the parts attached to an industrial plant. When these are broken or deviate, this module detects it in real time. It can also be used for small leaks on large boilers, for example.
In the area of license plate recognition, also known as LPR, new functionality is also available. For example, in Vaidio 7.1 it is possible to search by the colors of a license plate within the LPR module. A smart filter allows the user to enter the color, for example yellow, when searching for cars with Dutch license plates. This development facilitates forensic examination of existing images.
In addition, it is now possible to automatically remove license plates from the LPR lists by specifying expiration dates and times. This functionality is well suited for situations where temporary access is granted to suppliers, for example.
By the way, automatic data deletion is now also available within Vaidio’s Face Recognition module. According to an AVG-GDPR-friendly process, this data should be deleted after x period of time. With this new functionality, this process is automated and no longer needs to be done manually.
Heb je als system integrator of installateur meerdere Vaidio images draaien bij diverse klanten? Binnen Vaidio 7.1 is het mogelijk licenties eenvoudig onderling uit te wisselen. Dit betekent nog meer flexibiliteit!
Furthermore, Vaidio 7.1 allows logging into the core application via Azure Single Sign-on. This makes multiple logins a thing of the past. In addition, in the new release, users can now extract existing http(s) triggers to easily apply them in alert rules.
