How Vision AI takes critical infrastructure security to the next level
We continue to develop the Vaidio platform. Since a few weeks, the 7.0 version of Vaidio is live and ready for use. The 7.0 version offers several new features such as Scene Change, Federated Object Search and Object Counting. In addition, existing features have been further updated for higher accuracy. In this article, you can read all about what’s new in Vaidio’s 7.0 release.
As in any release, the 7.0 version of Vaidio also brings new functionalities. Below is a list of the main innovations.
Scene Change
Federated Object Search
Via the new Federated Object Search, it is possible to perform centralised searches of standard of trained objects across all server/camera networks and nodes in use. Federated Object Search is an extension of the development of Vaidio Command Centre from the 6.2-release of Vaidio. Vaidio Command Centre brings together multiple, local analytics appliances within a single environment. With it, it centralises alert monitoring, event search and node and camera management across dozens of nodes and several camera networks simultaneously.
Object Counting
Vaidio 7.0 provides the ability to count, track and graphically display specific objects over a period of time for reporting. In doing so, Vaidio is also capable of issuing an alert when a certain threshold is reached.
Vaidio Data
In addition to the above innovations, as mentioned, several Vaidio functionalities have been further optimised. These relate to:
Detecting and searching for objects
Vaidio 7.0 is able to detect even more accurately objects or items that are not present, that persons are not carrying (f.e. protective equipment) or objects that are left behind. If an anomaly occurs, the platform automatically alerts the appropriate people. This application is particularly useful in production environments and public areas.
Fall Detection
In addition, Vaidio’s fall detection, also called VAIBS Care, is also optimised for higher accuracy.
Licence plate recognition (LPR)
Thereby, the accuracy of the AI model for number plate recognition (LPR) has been improved. The Swiss license plate has additionally been added.
Systeem en integratie
Finally, in the 7.0 release, the Vaidio platform also has a number of improvements within the system. These include improvements to the login procedure and camera and file management. In addition, a new integration with the Bosch Network Video Recorder (NVR) is now available. that allows Vaidio to retrieve video from Bosch and send triggers from Vaidio to Bosch via HTTP.
After reading this article, curious to see what these developments look like in practice?
