With the release of Vaidio 9.0, another set of new functionality becomes available to all end users. The 9.0 release offers enhanced features in areas such as camera auto-configuration, Cross Camera Tracking, advanced search filters and more. Discover the key innovations in this article!

Smart configuration of cameras

Vaidio 9.0 introduces AI-driven camera auto-configuration. This means the system automatically applies the most plausible AI engines and settings to newly added cameras. This allows users without technical knowledge to make the best use of features such as:

• Cross Camera Tracking (CCT)
• Face recognition
• Intrusion Detection
• License plate recognition
• Object and trap detection

Manual configuration, including batch processing for multiple cameras simultaneously, of course also remains available.

Cross Camera Tracking (CCT) improved

Vaidio 9.0 brings significant improvements to Cross Camera Tracking functionality:

• Ability to display more than 100 results.
• Automatically open a new tab on CCT searches for better multitasking.
• GPS data and indoor maps are now exported for additional context.
• Ability to use deleted scenes as references to filter out specific objects or people from searches.

New filter options for Video Search

To further refine search functionality within video images, Vaidio 9.0 introduces new filtering options based on human attributes. These include:

• Clothing (full body, top and bottom)
• Age and gender, even without face detection

These improvements make it easier to perform targeted searches and find relevant images faster.

Alert cooldown: fewer unnecessary notifications

A much-requested improvement in this version is the alert cooldown functionality. This allows users to set a time interval between alerts, preventing excessive and duplicate alerts. This is especially useful for situations where continuous notifications are undesirable, such as camera abnormalities.

Improved video playback and UI

Besides technical improvements, work has also been done to improve the user experience. For example, there is:

• A liveview option in Scene Detail, allowing users to instantly view the situation.
• Better search filters available within Live View.
• And improved camera editing with an intuitive basic and advanced configuration mode.

Face recognition and PPE detection more accurate than ever

De kwaliteit van gezichtsherkenning (FR) is verbeterd met een nieuw kwaliteitssysteem dat gebruikers waarschuwt wanneer een gezicht niet aan de minimale eisen voldoet. Ook is het Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)-detectiemodel geüpgraded naar een nauwkeurigere versie zonder veranderingen in de gebruikerservaring.
