Yes. The application can analyse the number of cameras simultaneously, as long as sufficient licences and server resources are available. All streams are processed in real-time and provided with metadata. Licences of modules (Video AI Analytics) can be swapped between multiple camera streams without obligation.

Files uploaded directly to Vaidio can be easily deleted via the delete button. For metadata results of analysed video streams/video files, the user can enter a flexible retention time. After this retention time, the data is automatically deleted.

Yes, Vadio offers an app for both iOS and Android.

No, Vaidio itself does not do any recording of camera streams. Only metadata is generated and stored. In fact, each end user has its own PostgreSQL database in which the generated metadata is optionally (this is a setting within Vaidio) stored. Passwords and other critical data are stored encrypted in the database.

While developing the Vaidio platform, we strive to set it up as simply as possible. Installation and configuration usually take about an hour. Generally, you only need knowledge of your network configuration (IP address, DNS server, etc.) to install the system on your network. All other configuration is done via the browser (Chrome).

Scalability is unlimited as far as the application itself is concerned. Vaidio can be deployed from a single camera to tens of thousands of cameras. The platform supports both clustering of multiple servers, and creating a federation via the Vaidio Command Centre.

Yes, Vaidio facilitates all the functionality required to work in compliance with the AVG/GDPR legislation. Indeed, Vaidio offers the possibility of blur anonymising personal data such as faces, features, etc. The edited video clips can then be downloaded for use. Thus, Vaidio does not store any personal data of individuals. In addition, the platform provides an audit log to record user activity, including time stamping. Thereby, it is possible to assign specific rights to users of the platform.

The Vaidio platform is developed based on Machine Learning and Deep Learning. This enables the platform to distinguish between people, vehicles, animals, objects and more. In addition, Vaidio features several object-specific AI engines, each tuned for high accuracy. In doing so, Vaidio performs motion detection before object recognition. So for example, if the platform recognises a parked car, Vaidio only generates a new video search result if the car moves. Because it is possible to tune various parameters within Vaidio to the desired threshold for alerting, inaccurate detections are filtered out.

Independent research by IDC Marketscape (2024) and IPVM (2024) found that Vaidio is among the top three worldwide in terms of accuracy.

All Video AI Analytics are indefinitely deployable on one or more streams (cameras). These can be deployed ‘concurrently’. That is, the software is not tied to the ID of a camera. This makes it possible to exchange different functionalities among the connected streams.

The answer to this question is: diverse and very comprehensive. Image analysis is possible based on people, vehicles, animals and various objects. Within these categories, it is then possible to refine based on, for example, clothing colour, faces, emotions, heatmapping, walking lines, accessories, etc. Counting, groups of people or other anomalies are also analysed automatically.

Processing takes place in real-time, where in the standard server capacity calculation we assume an image quality of 1920×1080 pixels at 20 frames per second. However, Vaidio can do real-time processing of images up to a resolution of 32 megapixels.

When reading video files, the processing time depends on the amount of AI features to be analysed and the amount of “traffic” in the images present.
